I recently found a fantastic spot that I just have to share with you – Koh Café! Its so near to my spots here in makati!

This place is a true hidden gem, located in a cozy corner of the city near a convenience store.

Inspired by a beautiful island in Thailand, Koh Café offers a serene escape from the urban busy times!

The Story Behind Koh Café

First, a bit of background. The name “Koh” comes from a Thai island, which is also means island so fitting because this café feels like a little escape in the city.

The owners met in Thailand and brought a slice of that paradise back with them. They opened Koh Café last year (new cafe), and it’s already become a favorite spot for both locals and visitors met some foreigners here!

Koh Café has something for everyone, if you are a coffee lover, a pastry fan, or someone who enjoys a good cocktail or alcohol, this place has all you need! Here’s what I tried!

Pastries

Truffle Cheese Puff (230)

This was incredible! The first bite took me to a beautiful place – yeah it was that yummy! It tasted like creamy cheese with a hint of hard cheese texture. ☺️

Ube Cheese Puff (230)

This one had a delightful ube flavor with a different hard texture. It was so nice and unique!

Cocktails

Strawberry Lemon Haze (455)

made with Rum, Lemon, Strawberry, Black Pepper, Clarified Milk, Matcha Foam.

I loved this cocktail! The texture included some added powder, and just one glass got me about 5% tipsy. It was a little strong but so delightful taste!

Amaretto Sour (455)

This cocktail used a traditional mix that I typically taste from other places. It was well-executed and super enjoyable.

Cookies

Matcha Cookies (155)

These cookies had a distinct matcha flavor, though not too strong, which I think caters to the local taste. The smell had a hint of green tea, and the texture was hard and gooey. I loved the creamy hints that tasted like cheese.

KOHkies

These signature cookies were absolutely delicious. You definitely need to try them!

Operating Hours

Koh Café is open from 10 AM to 10 PM, making it perfect for morning coffee runs, afternoon breaks, and evening hangouts.

On weekends and holidays, they extend their hours until midnight, which is great for late-night conversations and weekend relaxation!

The café is designed with a minimalist and sleek aesthetic, creating a comfortable and stylish environment. The secret location adds to the charm so it feels like a special place you’ve discovered. It’s the perfect spot to gather with friends, share stories, and enjoy each other’s company.
